Data collection

Y'all I came across this video last night and my mind is blown. I've spent the morning creating data sheets for my junior high caseload and my high school caseload is on my agenda for this afternoon (and part of Saturday, let's be honest). I am so excited to be able to show parents charts/graphs of their child's progress at ARD meetings. Our google drive has some great folders with data collection sheets used by other SLPs in the district. What are your favorite ways to collect data? Any tips/tricks for various grade levels/classroom types that have served you well and saved you time? -Sara Wilkerson (Westwood JH / Berkner HS)

Hi all, The photo directory is here!! Click here if you need to know who your fellow SLPs are. We are still waiting on a few pictures for the central staff section of the directory but wanted to give you the campus section now. I will post again when I have the completed directory. -Nichole

Mary! Thank you for sharing your story and your vision with us at our training on Thursday.  I've been processing your story and what we learned on Thursday over the past two days.  I think it's important for us to know the stories of our leadership team.  I think it helps to provide a common ground and a common vision moving forward. So, thank you for your story.  I am in awe of your passion and dedication to our field, our RISD vision, and our RISD SLPs/Related Services staff members.  You are an inspiration! Hailey

eStar Access Request From

Please see this message from Keya regarding eSped access: Hey Everyone, In an attempt to streamline the requests for eStar Access, I went ahead and made a Google Form that teachers and staff can fill out to get/change their access in eStar. If you could direct people to the link so that way we have one list that Jerry, Julie, and I can work on as needed and not overlap, it would be appreciated. Here is the link  to send to the staff who need new/revised access: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmxaXLC_0rSD_NIM_dH1wNxjyZ1uYECAqBWcql35Bb-Rsf8w/viewform Thanks for the help! Electronic IEP Distribution

Here is an awesome   IEP Distribution Cheat Sheet  to give to teachers if you are doing electronic IEP distribution! Allyson Harrison shared this with teachers at LHE with this message: Teachers, Please see attached document, outlining procedure for electronic distribution of IEPs.  I would highly encourage you to save this attachment to your desktop, for quick access throughout the school year.  It is important to remember that IEPs are LEGAL documents, and must be treated as such.  There is an easy, two-step process for receiving documents:  saving the attachment, and clicking a link to sign the receipt.  You are expected to sign for every document received.  From there, you can save on your computer, or print out as you deem necessary.  Please let any special education staff member know, if you have any questions.   - Natalie
