May ULS

Hi all – Hope you all continue to remain safe and healthy! Below is your May ULS Supplement. We know this is a different time right now and instruction looks different.  Hopefully this will be helpful.  Please continue to share your materials in the ULS Folder.  It continues to be an important time to share!  When you CORE books or Lessons please put them up!  That will help other teachers and SLPs to have great materials during their times with students!  There are some fun Science/Cooking and Craft ideas this month! So here is your  ULS Supplement for May.  Don't forget - if you CORE things in a different way - please upload them - it is always good to have options!  The theme this month is Life Science - DNA and Traits.   Check out the Active Learning suggestions and CORE words taken from the curriculum this month.  If you have other Active Learning ideas - please add! We are still adding some materials so make sure ...

Disable Chat Feature in Zoom

I thought it might be helpful to know how to disable the chat feature in Zoom. It can be distracting at times if your students are chatting while you're trying to accomplish work. Have a great week! Alex

Translating Google Docs!

Hey SLPs! Here' a cool tip I stumbled upon while attempting to translate a document from English to Arabic. Life changed and so much time saved! Note: grammar errors may occur Watch this short video to learn how to translate your google document to ANY language: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOgx7ULsKSQ

Auto-calculations for Digital Forms

Hey everyone! I made a Google Sheet with some formulas to auto-calculate the results from the digital CELF-5 Pragmatics Profile and CELF P2 Descriptive Pragmatics Profile and uploaded a presentation with videos about how to use them into the SLP Google Drive.  You will not need to type in formulas yourself but will need to follow the directions and copy the formulas/table set into a form response Google Sheet.  Please watch the videos before trying to use this document! You can find the video and the auto-calculator google sheet in the Digital Form Auto-Calculators folder (in the Digital Forms folder). In the presentation videos, there is also a helpful tip about using the "Transpose" function to reorganize form response data into 2 columns instead of the rows that are generated when you put the data in a Google Sheet (if you aren't already doing this!). Contact me if you have any difficulty with it or have questions!  -Janie Life
